Al-Amal College Hosts Awareness Seminar in Collaboration with the Karbala Anti-Crime Directorate
As part of its efforts to promote social awareness and combat negative societal phenomena, Al-Amal College for Specialized Medical Sciences organized an educational seminar titled “Student Awareness as a Tool Against Drugs and Cybercrime” in collaboration with the Karbala Anti-Crime Directorate. The event was attended by a group of academics and students.
The seminar featured awareness lectures delivered by Legal Expert Alaa Al-Hasnawi, Director of the Karbala Anti-Crime Directorate; Mr. Abbas Al-Mousawi, Director of Media at the Directorate; and Assistant Lecturer Ibtihal Naseer from the Department of Pharmacy. The speakers addressed the dangers of drug abuse and prevention strategies, cyber extortion crimes and response mechanisms, and the importance of reporting crimes to protect the community. Real-life examples and case studies were presented to deepen understanding of these vital topics.
The college administration, represented by Professor Emeritus Dr. Mofeed Jaleel Awad and his academic and administrative assistants, praised this initiative for strengthening student awareness and fostering a safe and stable academic environment. At the close of the seminar, Dr. Abdullah Al-Tamimi distributed certificates of appreciation to the participants in recognition of their contribution to the success of this important awareness event.
This seminar is part of a broader series of initiatives led by Al-Amal College, aligned with its mission to promote legal and security culture among students and to prepare an informed generation capable of facing societal challenges with scientific knowledge and ethical responsibility.
