The Quality Assurance and Institutional Performance Assessment Division was established as part of the organizational structure of Al-Amal College for Specialized Medical Sciences, which received recognition from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research under Ministerial Order No. (T H A / K 12922) dated November 2, 2021. The Division is administratively affiliated with the Office of the Dean and includes within its structure the Institutional Performance Assessment Unit, the Quality Assurance Unit, and the Academic Accreditation Unit. The Division has formulated its vision, mission, and objectives in alignment with those of the College. It strives earnestly to fulfill its obligations in the fields of quality assurance and academic accreditation, utilizing available capabilities to elevate the College's reputation locally, regionally, and globally. The Division's current staff consists of Prof. Dr. Abbas Fadhil Hassoon (Division Director), Mr. Tariq Maher Ali (Head of the Institutional Performance Assessment Unit), and Ms. Duha Mahdi Hussein (Quality Assurance Employee).

Vision: Excellence in academic performance locally.
Mission: Creativity in executing quality assurance and academic accreditation plans to achieve accreditation certification, sustain educational and research progress, and serve the community.
Objectives:
Periodically review and update the College's organisational structure.
Conduct institutional performance assessments for faculty, staff, professionals, and craftsmen every academic year.
Apply national institutional accreditation standards within the College, as well as national program accreditation standards according to the specialisation of each scientific department.
Implement international standards, including: ISO 9000, ISO 9001, ISO 19011, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001, ISO 21001, and ISO 10013.
Apply Quality Management System (QMS) standards.
Apply administrative excellence standards (EFQM).
Obtain accreditation certificates for educational laboratories.
Enter international rankings such as: UI, South Korean WURI, Dutch Leiden Ranking, CWTS, QS, THE, Shanghai, SCImago (SIR), Webometrics, Green Metric, and others.
Participate in auditing and evaluating the performance of the College and scientific departments according to local and international standards.
Conduct official correspondence with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, College departments, public state institutions, the private sector, and civil society organisations.
Train staff on concepts of quality, accreditation, and performance assessment.
Disseminate the culture of quality within the College and the community.

Its mission is directed towards the educational institution, the student, and society by obtaining institutional and program accreditation certificates, accrediting educational laboratories, entering reputable local and global rankings, excelling in the performance of the educational process, publishing and marketing scientific research, and sustaining communication with society.
The Division is keen on disseminating concepts of quality and accreditation by organizing training workshops, seminars, and lectures. It seeks to train the workforce—including faculty and staff—to equip them with skills and awareness capabilities that assist them in delivering distinguished performance in the educational process. Furthermore, it supports publishing reputable research in Scopus and Clarivate repositories and establishing supportive local and global partnerships to improve performance within a safe, sound, and healthy educational environment for students, faculty, and staff.
Commitment to applying quality assurance and academic accreditation standards—through the completion of the Self-Assessment Report, the Improvement Plan Guide, the Improvement Plan Completion Guide, and the Compliance Report—guarantees obtaining accreditation certification and raising the College's reputation locally, regionally, and globally.
The College has taken distinct steps to provide requirements for e-management, e-learning, and Artificial Intelligence in the educational process by committing to blended learning programs and keeping pace with rapid developments in this significant field of knowledge.
The College maintains permanent orientations towards community service through direct work in medical clinics or health and medical consultations, and by forming partnerships with stakeholders and the labor market to achieve its announced vision, mission, and objectives.
