Al-Amal College for Specialized Medical Sciences Achieves a Sporting Milestone in the Annual Al-Ameed University Marathon

Under the guidance of Professor Dr. Mofeed Jaleel Awad, Dean of Al-Amal College for Specialized Medical Sciences, and his commitment to supporting student and athletic activities, the college participated in the Annual Al-Ameed University Marathon, which featured competition among eight universities from the holy city of Karbala. Participating institutions included: University of Karbala, Al-Safwa University, Ahlulbait University, Al-Zahrawi College, Al-Sibtain University, Warith Al-Anbiyaa University, and the host, Al-Ameed University.

The race spanned a distance of 2,800 meters, starting from the Karbala-Najaf highway and concluding at the Al-Ameed University campus. The event saw the participation of 200 runners. In the team results, the University of Karbala secured first place, while Al-Amal College for Specialized Medical Sciences proudly achieved fifth place overall, outperforming several other competing universities.

During the closing ceremony, the top three winners received valuable monetary prizes, while the top ten runners were honored with special recognition awards. Dr. Mushtaq Kareem Abdul Rahim, Vice President of Al-Ameed University for Administrative and Legal Affairs, also honored representatives from all participating universities in appreciation of their role in making the event a success. The marathon reflected the spirit of unity among academic institutions and emphasized the importance of athletic engagement among students.
