Pharmacy students hold a scientific workshop on Fibromyalgia
Fifth-stage students from the Department of Pharmacy at Al-Amal College for Specialized Medical Sciences, under the supervision of lecturer Ms. Ibtehal Nasser, organized a scientific workshop entitled “Fibromyalgia: Causes and Treatment Methods.” The event came as part of the department’s extracurricular scientific activities aimed at strengthening students’ practical and theoretical knowledge.
The presenting students discussed Fibromyalgia as one of the chronic muscular disorders, highlighting its main causes and contributing factors. They also reviewed the latest globally adopted treatment approaches, emphasizing the importance of early diagnosis and the role of both pharmacological and physical therapy in reducing symptoms and improving patients’ quality of life.
The workshop was attended by a group of professors, students, and staff members who praised the quality of the information presented and the outstanding efforts of the students in preparing and delivering the scientific material—reflecting their commitment to keeping pace with medical and scientific advancements in their field of specialization.
