Al-Amal College Holds Awareness Seminar in Cooperation with the Karbala Police Directorate on Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Extortion, and Domestic Violence
As part of its ongoing efforts to enhance community awareness among students and academic staff, the Continuing Education Division at Al-Amal College for Specialized Medical Sciences, in cooperation with the Karbala Police Directorate, organized an educational seminar titled “Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Extortion, and Domestic Violence – Prevention and Solutions.” The event witnessed significant attendance from students and faculty members.
The seminar featured contributions from a distinguished group of security specialists. Colonel Eng. Ihsan Youssef Jaleel Al-Asadi, Director of the Relations and Media Department at the Karbala Police Directorate, delivered an insightful lecture on security challenges in the era of artificial intelligence. Colonel Zaman Ismail Mohammed, Deputy Director of the Family and Child Protection Department, addressed the issue of domestic violence and methods of prevention. Major Dhulfiqar Qasim Mohammed from the Intelligence Agency shed light on cyber extortion, explaining its modern tactics and how to counter them. Additionally, Mr. Alaa Al-Karkoushi, Director of the Anti-Rumors Division at the Karbala Police Directorate, shared valuable insights across multiple areas of concern.
At the conclusion of the seminar, Professor Dr. Mofeed Jaleel Awad, Dean of Al-Amal College, presented certificates of appreciation to the speakers in recognition of their efforts to raise awareness and strengthen students’ legal and technological literacy.
This seminar is part of a series of purposeful activities organized by the college, reaffirming its role in building an informed and resilient generation equipped to face the growing digital and social challenges of our time.
