A Student at Al-Amal College Publishes Scientific Research in a Global Scopus-Indexed Journal
In the context of its continuous support for the scientific research journey and its encouragement of creative student talents, Al-Amal College for Specialized Medical Sciences announced the achievement of a new scientific milestone. This is represented by the publication of a graduation research paper by the distinguished student Nashwan Asaad in a prestigious international journal indexed within the Scopus databases.
This achievement is the fruitful outcome of rigorous research efforts and precise scientific work, accomplished under the supervision of Asst. Lect. Ibtihal Naseer Salman (the direct research supervisor), with the assistance of Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Khalifa. The research addressed a highly vital medical topic concerning biological therapy and its role in treating severe asthma.
The study concluded that biological therapy represents a genuine qualitative leap in managing severe asthma cases, given its significant effectiveness in improving patients' quality of life. This is achieved by reducing severe asthma attacks, lowering hospital admission rates and the need for emergency care, as well as potentially decreasing the continuous reliance on corticosteroids and their associated side effects. Furthermore, the results highlighted promising prospects for developing more advanced biological therapies in the future, thereby enhancing opportunities to access safer and more effective treatment options.
On this occasion, the Deanship of Al-Amal College for Specialized Medical Sciences extends its highest congratulations and blessings to the student Nashwan Asaad, and to the supervisors of this distinguished scientific endeavor. The Deanship reaffirms its continuous commitment to supporting scientific research and elevating academic standards, which in turn enhances the College's prestigious standing in international scientific forums.
