Al-Amal College for Medical Sciences Holds a Training Seminar on PCR Technology for First-Stage Dentistry Students

 

Al-Amal College for Specialized Medical Sciences, under the supervision of the Continuing Education Unit, organized a scientific training seminar titled: "Fundamentals and Applications of Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) Technology." The seminar targeted first-stage students in the Dentistry Department, as part of the College's ongoing efforts to enhance the practical and applied skills of its students right from their early academic years.

The seminar was presented by Dr. Faten Abdul Kadhim, who introduced the fundamentals of PCR technology and highlighted its critical importance in the detection of viral and genetic diseases. She also elaborated on the latest applications of this technology currently utilized in modern medical laboratories.

For his part, the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Mufeed Jalil Awad, emphasized that organizing such seminars perfectly aligns with the College's policy of providing an integrated educational environment. This approach seamlessly merges theoretical knowledge with applied practice, thereby adequately preparing students to acquire the essential skills demanded by the medical labor market.

The seminar witnessed positive interaction and active engagement from the students, who demonstrated profound interest in the scientific and practical content presented to them.
