Al-Amal College and the Middle Technical University Sign a Strategic Twinning Agreement to Enhance Scientific and Academic Cooperation
Baghdad – In a step considered a milestone in its academic and scientific journey, Al-Amal College for Specialized Medical Sciences signed a strategic twinning agreement with the Middle Technical University (MTU), one of the most prominent universities in Iraq. The signing took place this morning in the capital, Baghdad, in the presence of high-level officials from both institutions.
The Al-Amal College delegation was headed by the Dean, Prof. Dr. Mufeed Jalil Awad, accompanied by the Associate Dean for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Abdul Amir Al-Khafaji. They were warmly received by the President of the Middle Technical University, Prof. Dr. Waddah Amer Hatem, along with his vice presidents and the university's administrative and scientific staff.
The signing of the agreement came as the culmination of a fruitful meeting wherein Al-Amal College presented its ambitious academic vision and its endeavor to build effective scientific partnerships with reputable institutions inside and outside Iraq. The College affirmed its commitment to exchanging expertise and knowledge in the medical and technical fields, thereby enhancing the quality of education and elevating students' skills.
In his speech during the signing ceremony, Prof. Dr. Mufeed Jalil Awad expressed his pride in this qualitative step, describing it as a "pivotal milestone in the College's vision towards preparing a medical and technical generation that possesses competence and excellence." He also praised the prestigious status of the Middle Technical University and its pioneering role in the field of technical education in Iraq.
For his part, Prof. Dr. Waddah Amer Hatem highly valued this cooperation, considering it an "attractive model for scientific partnership between national academic edifices." He emphasized that the agreement will directly contribute to the development of educational programs and open new horizons for joint scientific research.
The signing ceremonies took place at the MTU Presidency headquarters and included an exchange of appreciation shields between the two parties. The University President presented the Shield of Creativity and Excellence to the Dean of Al-Amal College, while the College presented its official shield as an expression of the depth of the partnership and the sincerity of intentions.
The agreement stipulates joint cooperation in academic, scientific, and research fields, the exchange of expertise among teaching staff, and the organization of joint scientific activities. This aims to enhance the level of academic performance and elevate the standing of both institutions at the local and regional levels.
