Pharmacy Students Conduct a Scientific Workshop on Fibromyalgia
Fifth-year students in the Department of Pharmacy at Al-Amal College for Specialized Medical Sciences, under the supervision of faculty member Asst. Lect. Ibtihal Naseer, conducted a scientific workshop titled: "Fibromyalgia: Causes and Treatment Methods." This event was organized as part of the extracurricular scientific activities the Department is keen to arrange to enhance the students' practical and cognitive skills.
The presenting students addressed the definition of the condition as a chronic musculoskeletal disorder. They reviewed its primary causes and contributing factors, while discussing the latest globally approved treatment methods. Furthermore, they emphasized the importance of early diagnosis and the significant role of both pharmacological and physical therapy in alleviating symptoms and improving patients' quality of life.
The workshop was attended by a gathering of professors, students, and staff members who commended the high quality of the information presented. They also praised the distinguished efforts exerted by the students in preparing and delivering the scientific material, which reflects their dedication to keeping pace with medical and scientific advancements in their field of specialization.
