A Scientific Workshop in Anesthesia Techniques Enhances the Applied Skills of Al-Amal College Students
The Anesthesia Techniques Department at Al-Amal College for Specialized Medical Sciences organized a scientific workshop in collaboration with the Oscar Medical Team, under the title: "Safe Medical Anesthesia Begins with Precise Knowledge." This initiative comes as part of the College's continuous efforts to enhance the applied and cognitive aspects of its students and to keep pace with the latest developments in medical sciences.
The workshop aimed to develop the practical skills of students in the medical departments and provide them with modern information in the field of anesthesia techniques and intensive care. The core topics included a detailed explanation of blood drawing mechanisms and Intravenous (IV) cannula insertion. It also featured a comprehensive introduction to operating mechanical ventilators in Intensive Care Units (ICUs), as well as an applied scientific demonstration of the working mechanism of suction devices.
The workshop was attended by the Dean of Al-Amal College, Prof. Dr. Mufeed Jalil Awad, alongside his Associate Deans for Scientific and Administrative Affairs, and a number of faculty members, staff, and students. The attendees highly praised the outstanding level of organization and the valuable scientific content presented. They strongly emphasized the critical importance of holding such activities, which significantly contribute to refining students' skills and preparing them effectively for the labor market.
