Al-Amal College Achieves an International Milestone by Entering the Times Higher Education World Rankings for the First Time

Karbala – Al-Amal College for Specialized Medical Sciences has achieved a prominent scientific milestone by entering the Times Higher Education (THE) World Rankings for the first time. This classification is considered one of the most prestigious academic rankings for universities and educational institutions worldwide and aligns with the requirements of the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

This achievement represents the culmination of the College's ambitious journey in consolidating quality and academic excellence. It is the fruitful outcome of the immense efforts exerted by the Sustainability Division at the College, represented by its head, Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Alaa, under the direct supervision of the Dean of the College, Professor Emeritus Dr. Mufeed Jalil Awad.

In a press statement, the Dean emphasized: "The College is striving to fulfill its pioneering role on both local and international levels, in alignment with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research." He further added, "This accomplishment is merely the first step towards enhancing the College's presence in global rankings and assessments."

It is worth noting that the Times Higher Education World Rankings rely on rigorous criteria, including teaching quality, scientific research, research citations, international reputation, and academic collaboration. Consequently, inclusion in these rankings serves as a robust indicator of excellence and strict adherence to global academic standards.

Al-Amal College for Specialized Medical Sciences is considered one of the emerging young colleges in Iraq, having been established in 2021. However, within a remarkably short period, it has successfully solidified its academic presence and presented a distinguished model in specialized medical education.
