Al-Amal College Organizes a Scientific Workshop on First Aid in Collaboration with the Fursan Al-Rahma Medical Organization Team
Al-Amal College for Specialized Medical Sciences organized a specialized scientific workshop in the field of first aid, in collaboration with the Fursan Al-Rahma (Knights of Mercy) Medical Organization team, affiliated with the Directorate of Youth and Sports in Karbala. This initiative comes within the framework of the College's continuous efforts to enhance the practical skills of its students and equip them with the necessary field expertise.
The workshop witnessed remarkable attendance from students across all scientific departments. Participants engaged interactively with its theoretical and practical modules, which focused on the fundamentals of first aid and the rapid response to emergency cases, such as fainting, bleeding, fractures, choking, and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), in addition to the mechanisms of correct intervention during sudden accidents both inside and outside the university campus.
The program included an intensive practical component that provided students with the opportunity to apply the presented information under the supervision of specialized trainers from the medical team. This hands-on experience contributed to consolidating concepts and boosting the students' confidence in handling emergency situations according to approved health standards.
The College Deanship emphasized that organizing such workshops aligns with its vision aimed at preparing healthcare professionals who possess both academic knowledge and practical skills, enabling them to perform their humanitarian and professional roles with high efficiency. The Deanship also praised the constructive cooperation with entities supporting scientific and voluntary activities in the Karbala Governorate.
This initiative is part of a series of scientific and training activities that the College is keen to hold periodically, contributing to the development of students' capabilities, refining their skills, and promoting a culture of health awareness and community service.
